Every helium tank rental runs seven days as standard, on every size from Tiny up to Extra Large. That gives you time to set up the day before, run the event, and get it back to us without rushing. If you need longer, tell us before the rental period is up so we can extend it for you with a small fee.
Yes. We deliver the tank and we come back for the empty cylinder, anywhere in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania. You do not need to make a return trip. If you would rather drop it back yourself, our Brooklyn location at 1202 Avenue N is open 8am to 8pm, seven days.
Helium tank rental starts at $195 for the smallest cylinder, with the regulator and a full 7 day rental included and no deposit. Tank size, how many days you keep it and how far we travel move the price, so call (718) 787-4477 and we quote your exact job in about two minutes.
For one party, no. A disposable store tank costs around $50 and fills roughly 30 balloons, so 100 balloons means buying three of them and throwing three away. Our smallest rental starts at $195 with a regulator, a full 7 days and no deposit, and there are no empty cylinders left for you to get rid of afterwards. If you run events every month, buying your own cylinder can make sense, but then you also pay for refills, storage and transport, which is why most repeat customers stay on a long-term rental with us instead.
It depends on how many you need. Under about 30 balloons, bring them to our Brooklyn store at 1202 Avenue N and we fill them while you wait, priced per balloon, with nothing to return. Over about 50, renting a tank works out cheaper per balloon and you keep it for 7 days. Tell us your balloon count on the phone and we will tell you honestly which one costs you less.
Around 55 to 60 cubic feet of helium for 100 standard 12 inch latex balloons, or a little less for 11 inch. That is comfortably inside our mid-size cylinder. Foil balloons and oversized printed balloons use much more, so tell us the sizes and we will match the tank to the job. Our balloon helium calculator gives you a figure in a few seconds.
No deposit is required on short-term helium tank rental, and we do not put a hold on your card. Long-term business accounts work on different terms, which we go through when you open the account.
Tiny fills 62 to 80, Extra Small 113 to 147, Small 171 to 222, Medium 209 to 271, Large 417 to 542, and Extra Large 555 to 720. The lower figure is for 12 inch latex balloons and the higher one for 11 inch. Foil and oversized balloons use more helium, so call us if your job is a mix.
Order before 11:30 am and we deliver the same day. After that it goes out the next day. In Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens that is usually within 2 to 3 hours, and delivery there is free. Everywhere else there is a delivery fee based on distance. We take last-minute orders 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm, and we answer text messages until midnight.
Yes. Bring your balloons to our Brooklyn location and we inflate them while you wait, priced per balloon: that is the cheapest option. Or we bring a large tank to your venue and fill them on site for a travel charge plus a per-balloon cost.
A refill puts helium back into a cylinder you already own, and takes about 15 to 20 minutes. An exchange swaps your empty tank for a full one of the same size. We can do either at your location or at our Brooklyn store.
Yes. We are a registered Department of Education vendor under the name Party Services Inc. We accept purchase orders and provide services for school celebrations, parties, and graduations throughout the year.
Yes. Call us before your 7 days are up and we will extend the helium tank rental with a small extension fee. Businesses that need helium continuously are usually better off on a long-term account, where the cylinder simply stays with you and we swap empties as they come.

If you are wondering how to dispose of a helium tank, the answer is not in the trash. A large helium cylinder is pressurized, so household waste and curbside recycling will not take it. We pick up large empty helium tanks across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, in most cases at no charge, whether or not you rented the tank from us.
